The days were getting longer and more dull. Still, I felt compelled to try to do something with my time rather then wasting away in the Hidden Mist. So on one of his trips to the local police style station he finally got a task! Haru often went to these place in search of work, even if they did usually give him little odd jobs that usually translated into D-Rank missions but whatever. Work was work right? As he strolled out of the office, I was still reading the slip of paper with the assignment written on it. Looking up I tucked the paper into the folds of his clothes.
So the pound couldn't keep hold of their dogs and of course they got out of the village. Perfect. Well I guess someone has to do all the little work around here, and hopefully his work would pay off and soon he'd get better tasks. Maybe hunting down a missing nin, or maybe something equally as challenging and adventurous as that. I smirked and let my arms hang, causing my sleeves to fall and cover my hands completely as I headed for the village gates. The large gate was regulated by an entrance area where people coming in and leaving could be monitored. I walked though the side entrance, handing the slip of paper with my task on it to the person at the 1st check point. They reviewed it as I spoke.
"Got a mission outside the village gates. Shouldn't be gone long, just some loose dogs."
The guard looked back up at me and smiled, stamping the paper giving the permission to pass. I smiled back, and took the paper back as I headed down a hallway leading to the exit doors. I passed a few more guards, flashing the paper occasionally at a few more check points before two men opened a door allowing me exit out of the village. Next stop, the world outside the mist, the possibilities!
