This clan started long before the great war with the Boshoku that took most of the Hidden Villages as their own. It starts, long ago, 9 generations before the Boshoku raid, that we find one lone girl, the start of the Bakuryuken clan......

Reika Hido, the first child of the Earth's Fire, was born long ago to a mysterious family with a dark secret encased in the night. Their bloodline was possessed by a black demon that almost know one knew much about, intent on destroying their sanity and charring their souls into something truly evil. It was given no name other than the Dark, but it was always known to be there by the adults of the family. Every once in a while, an unlucky child would get the entirety of the creature within themselves, and most would go crazy or die. But one girl, Reika Hido, was strong enough to beat the Dark, repel it from within her, and take the powers it had and absorb them within herself, creating the Kekkei Genkai that started the line.

She lost her parents young because of their family curse, and grew up with her grandmother until she passed away. Unknowingly to her, Reika possessed both the Dark's soul as well as her own grandmothers, who was trying to protect her granddaughter's soul from being ruined. But this girl had an usual power, one that she could call a fire or light within herself to drive out the dark and scorch her nightmares. They called it the Earth's Fire or Hell's Light, and she was called Chikyū no Ochita Honoo no Ko (Child of the Earth's Fell Flames) or Honoo no Ko (High Fire), and was rumored to have been reborn from a crystal her mother sealed her in when she died.

This girl went through problem after problem as she learned to conquer the darkness within her and drove it out, but could never completely vanquish it and it haunted her line. She taught the next two generations that could wield the Kekkei Genkai and told them all about the Creature of the Night, the Dark. With her affinity for earth and crystals, she was given the name Crystalline and was honored throughout generations as the One who Lit the Dark. Now, years later, the clan has spread and continued and prospered greatly and still lives as one of the few surviving clans of our era.

The clan, back when it was hosted in the Hidden Blossom Village, was the protector of its village. From things such as thieves to full scale attacks, they protected it. Now, having had to move to Kirigakure, they range from merchants and jewelery makers, to trainers and militia in Kiri's army and protective force.

This Kekkei Genkai allows the user to do several things. One is a doujutsu similar to the Hyuuga clan's Byakugan, but this one allows the user to see as if day with their eyes closed, by sending a small (or large, depending on the radius) amount of chakra into the ground that will bounce back off of objects much like a bat's echo location. The user will be able to see no matter how dark or if blinded, but, depending on the amount of chakra sent out or the user's control over their chakra, the radius around the user being seen will vary in size and sometimes even shape. Very skilled users can send it a long way in a certain direction rather than in a 360 view. But anything the user is trying to find must be touching either the ground itself or something on the ground, such as a bird in a tree or a person on a bench.

Another ability provided by the kekkei genkai is a tremendous amount of earth control, greater for the more skilled ninja with this kekkei genkai. But the greater the control in earth, the less they can do with secondary or third elements. The users who use much taijutsu or ninjutsu often specialize in what they call "Rock Selves" which is essentially a clone made of pure rock of oneself, different from your usual clone because they neither tire nor can be beaten completely unless the user is beaten unconscious. the user doesn't have to control the clones, as they all have minds of their own, which can prove dangerous for those using this in battle for the first time.

Users can also use their own chakra to light up the earth around them, or a specific object of their choosing, by sending an amount of their special chakra into it. This is something that Crystalline Reika discovered when she tried to vanquish the Dark. In her case, the first time it was ever discovered was when her own soul and the soul of the Dark that had cast its curse upon her family were warring within her, and she expelled it as well as her grandmother's protective soul from within her with a large burst of light that engulfed her when she tried lighting up a very large crystal cave. When lit, the object will glow with an unearthly, colorful light that comes from within rather than sitting on top. Depending on the amount of chakra used, the effects can last from hours to days and weeks.

People possessing the kekkei genkai within the clan often have a sufficient amount of chakra, much larger than your average Jounin. This is because many of the abilities take a large amount of chakra to begin with, and this is the body's way of compensating for that.

Depending on the user, different things can be done with different abilities. Some users are better controlling their fire rather than earth, and often use smaller fire jutsus such as Glowing Fungus. Some users can never master their earth, but have a very large control over their fire, or sometimes even end up with fire as their primary and earth as their secondary rather than the other way around.

A tell-tale ring appears on the ground as the Katon chakra gathers underground before exploding upward about six feet. This Katon chakra can stop B-rank wind chakra, D-rank water chakra, and C-rank of every other ninjutsu. Does not protect against genjutsu. If the ring of Katon chakra directly hits an opponent, they will suffer third-degree burns on that part of the body. Ring lasts for two posts, cooldown of three posts, and can only be about ten feet around the user. (for main fire users or skilled ninja with the KKG)

Description: This jutsu raises the temperature of the atmosphere near the user, causing the air to ripple from the heat enough that it can make it difficult to see what exactly the user is doing. Lasts five posts, and has a range of twenty posts around the user. (lesser fire users)

Description: The user uses a decent amount of chakra to send into the earth and summon clones of themselves made out of rock that each act of their own accord, but all are the same person as the user. They are dangerous as they do have minds of their own for first time users in battle, as they are like teammates and it takes time to get used to one another's rhythms in battle. Can create up to 10 clones and lasts until either the user releases then or is knocked out cold.

Description: This is similar to Earthen Light but this can actually cause harm to anyone who comes in contact with it. The user almost casts Earthen Light but at the last minute changes the chakra from a Supplementary to an Offensive by using their own body to raise the heat of the chakra and send it into whatever they are touching of their choice, either burning the target they are touching or heating the ground/object or setting fore to it, in the case of grass or a tree. lasts as long as their is energy to burn.
