Subject: A moon lit duel... Wed Sep 07, 2011 1:10 am
The moon rode on the rolling clouds as a bode rides on the rolling wave; the moon's graceful illusion of movement had caused Katsumi to stop and look at it for several moments. As his approached the gates he looked at the still sphere, simply gazing at it. The soft moist ground underneath his feet reminded him of his childhood, of his home in the Village Hidden in the Rain. He used to look at the moon when he was young, but those years had long past. There he first realized that honor meant nothing to the weak. He had to confront the world on the loss of what he held most dear, and announce his journey to reclaim it.
After several moments of stillness, he asked, "What am I looking for?"
The question of 'what' echo'd deep into his mind, body and soul before it left a resounding emptiness inside of him. He slowly lifted his hand to the moon, grasping at its illusion. He took his hand and rolled it softly to the base of his navel, looking at it with the same emptiness still echo'ing deep into the core of him.
He looked up, letting his eyes reach into the darkness of the night. He slowly closed his eyes and centered himself. The feeling slowly subsided, but the imprint it left on him did not. He could feel a boiling sensation of rage building within his very being; Katsumi never thought that such a passionate hatred was possible until the sensation overwelhmed him.
'What is wrong with this world? Have I grown too old to live in such a place? Honor has now become like a theif in the night, waiting on those few and able to find it.'
He opened his other hand and sliding it on to the hilt of his first and most prized weapon, Amateratsu, quickly gripping it with all of his strength. The bindings began to tighten and burst, causing the metal to scream out as it sheered against the blunt edge of the sheath. Katsumi quickly let go of the blade, drawing both hands to the sky with a burning passion that unleashed a sudden burst of chakra. The ground began to tremble, and the area's atmosphere instantly became extremely dense. It even caused Katsumi trouble breathing, but he continued to let this fueled rage flow from his body.
He slowly opened his eyes, and stepping into his fighting stance he began to yell into the depths of the night, "COME ALL YOU NAMELESS WARRIORS! FIGHT THE MASTER OF THE FIST! FACE THIS RAGING DEMON! FALL BEFORE THE MIGHT OF HEAVEN!!!"
He didn't know if there were any warriors left in this world, but he hoped that a warrior would answer his call. One day he would find a worthy opponent, and perhaps with it the death every warrior dreams of.
