Ninjutsu — Hyouton
- Melting Tools
- Frozen Over
- Glass Ice
- Icy Mirage
- Ice Disk
- “Jutsu Details”:
Name: Melting Tools Rank: D+ Type: Offensive Description: A simple technique that does not require hand seals and can ‘grow with the user’. The main objective of the jutsu is to create the basic ninja tools (shuriken, kunai, makibishi, and senbon) when the user needs them or has run out of the traditional tools. The technique can only make up one type of ninja tool at a time, in either hand. Shuriken, makibishi, and senbon come in sets of four (one in between each finger) per hand, allowing for a maximum of eight to be made at a time. Only one kunai can be made at a time per hand, for a maximum of two. These tools generally work in the same manner as regular ninja tools; however, they will melt quickly at lower levels, but they are faster due to weighing less (which of course, does mean they are weaker than normal tools unless one puts in more force when utilizing them).
At a D rank level these weapons cause a little over half the damage regular ninja tools will cause and will melt after three of the user’s post, making them more useful as distractions and cutting through the skin alone. Clothing that is present may easily cause the weapons to be little more than flesh wounds or light bruises. At a C rank level, they can cause damage equal to regular metal tools and melt after six posts. At higher levels, the maximum amount of weapons that can be made can increase, the weapons can cause more damage, be able to penetrate through stronger materials, and last longer (up to 4x the original max).
At an A rank level of mastery, the user may choose to create other kinds of tools. These new weapons are larger than the basic ninja tools, but are still quite traditional, being that they can not be unique weapons (i.e. only swords, spears, bows, axes, giant shuriken, etc.). These weapons cause the same damage as their metal counterparts and last for twelve of the user’s posts (unless they break under the stress of battle first). At an S rank level, the only main difference is that these weapons cause more damage, are more durable, and can last for an indefinite amount of time (regarding hand-held items, projectiles will still melt away in due time, see above). Note that the user has to be familiar with the weapon(s) they make or else the weapons will not truly be effective.
The weapons do take on ice’s properties, however at a D rank level there will only be a mild sensation of cold. At higher levels this sensation of cold will steadily increase and may even become numbing (around B to A+) to the muscles or nerves (depending on how deeply they’ve penetrated the body) for as long as they’re imbedded in the skin, which may lead to opponents unable to fully register that they’ve been hit, or how deep the wound is, as the numbing counters the pain that should be felt under normal circumstances.
Name: Frozen Over Rank: D+ Type: Defensive Description: A simple technique that may grow with the user. The main objective of the technique is to provide defense for the user. This is primarily through the use of a small shield that springs up in radial fashion, using one of the user’s wrists as the focal point. The shield has a diameter of 16 inches and is half an inch thick. Depending on the attack that is being deflected, the shield can safely protect the user from most normal, un-enhanced projectiles and weaken direct blows (or stop them altogether depending on the force being applied). The shield, once formed will remain in use until broken (as each attack it deflects steadily chips away at it) or melted away (three of the user’s post, or by force from the user), it of course, must be moved by the user as it is attached to the wrist (which may or may not prove to be cumbersome, depending on the situation as it allows for restricted movement of the hand). The properties of ice do not affect the user, but will affect others if they come into contact with it (i.e. if someone punches the shield they’ll feel their hand becoming cold).
At higher levels, this technique will become more durable, being able to deflect stronger attacks and increasing in size, but still retains the same length of duration (three posts). At an A rank level of mastery, the ‘shield’ becomes more ‘flexible’ being that it can change forms. The shield, more or less, is now able to act like a second skin, covering the entire user or certain areas in addition to being able to protect the user from more powerful attacks. Duration now changes from three to five posts. At S rank, there are few changes other than being able to create shields or barriers that do not require direct contact with the user. These shields and barriers will only retain the same defensive capabilities as that of the jutsu at a C rank level though, which also means they only last for three posts.
Name: Glass Ice Rank: D+ Type: Supplementary Description: Another technique that is simple to use and grows with the user, but require the usage of hand signs. After a small string of hand signs the user places their hands upon the ground (requires both hands to be in contact with the ground) and a layer of ice will form over the ground in one of two ways: extending from the user in a radial fashion with a radius of five feet, or straight out from the user, five feet wide and ten feet long. The layer of ice thus changes the immediate battlefield, making it slippery for most ninja to get a proper footing.
Most ninja, no matter their ranking, will find it difficult to navigate on the ice. Ninja with a high level of chakra control may be able to apply chakra to their feet and thus be able to maneuver (ninja attempting to do this will need to know the water walking jutsu though as the user’s chakra is imbedded into the ice which acts like water would, and it is because of this that ninja without a chakra control characteristic will be unable to utilize the water walking technique to get a foothold due to not only the shifting levels, but also the unique nature of the user’s chakra). For higher leveled ninja, so long as they have the chakra control characteristic they’ll be able to do this. Ninja of the same rank as the user will need to have a higher level of chakra control than the user (this is primarily because Gaeul’s chakra is a little more unique due to his Hatake blood which causes chakra to appear as white instead of blue; however, when Gaeul has a level three control over chakra, the opponent only needs to have an equal level of control).
An advantageous technique, as it does not affect the user, does have its drawbacks. At lower levels, the area covered is very slight and is quite visible as it is rather thick, thus if the opponent were not blind, they could very easily tell that something was going on with the ground and be more cautious as to approaching the user. The technique only lasts for five posts as well.
At higher levels, the area is extended and last longer, as well as starting to chill the air, just slightly. The radius is thus increased three feet per level of mastery (or 8 x 16, 11 x 22, 14 x 28, 17 x 34) and duration is increased by two posts per level (for a total of 13 posts). The depth of the ice layer also decreases, making usage of the technique less evident with each level of mastery (2 inches to 1¾ inches to 1 inch to ½ inch to ¼ inch), thus alluding to the technique’s name of ‘glass’, but the weight the layer of ice is able to support increases as well (because of chakra being utilized to amplify the ice’s strength) from two to three people up to four to five. Note that at an A rank level of mastery, the user no longer needs to place his hands upon the ground, but can instead focus on letting the chakra be released from his feet; however, this takes a post of preparation.
Name: Icy Mirage Rank: C+ Type: Supplementary Description: This technique is more a combination of two techniques: Kirigakure’s jutsu, and the bunshin jutsu. Initially, the user will create a clone that falls in between that of a simple bunshin and the banned Kage Bunshin technique. This clone has limited interaction with the environment, more than the bunshin, but far less than the Kage Bunshin. The clone can not stray far from the creator as well (5 feet), or else it will automatically disperse.
In terms of raw power, the clone is a fifth of the user’s strength and has no true mental abilities as they operate upon instructions given to them by the creator alone (i.e. if their creation instructions were for offensive maneuvers they’d only be able to use offensive abilities and vice versa). These clones are capable of utilizing any move known by the user so long as they have the capacity for it (i.e. no raiton jutsus since they’re made out of hyouton chakra, but they may be capable of very minor suiton and futon jutsus if the user knew any, or no S rank jutsus if they’re made with a C rank level of chakra, only D rank chakra-based techniques). These clones, very much like the bunshin, are destroyed with but a single blow. However, when they disperse, instead of a cloud of smoke, they fan out into a sort of mist.
This mist is not a true mist as it does affect visibility what-so-ever, at least at a C or B rank level. It just makes the air much, much colder than it originally was (but nothing near freezing, just an uncomfortable cold chill in the air, similar to going outside early in the morning or late at night when the sun’s yet to rise) in a 2½ foot radius of where the clone was when it was destroyed. The effect only lasts for two posts. This mist affects both the user and the target.
At higher levels, the clone is able to obviously utilize more powerful techniques and become a little stronger (i.e. at B rank clone is 2/5 of user’s strength, 3/5 at A, and 4/5 at S). The clone is also able to move further away from the user (2 feet per level), but is still destroyed by a single hit. The ‘mist’ also becomes stronger in that the drop in temperature increases at an A or S rank level (similar to going outside while the ground is covered in snow and it’s still snowing semi-heavily), as well as the radius covered (5 foot radius) for four posts instead of two and will obscure visibility just slightly (a thin haze, but still generally see-able). Again, this affects both user and target.
Name: Ice Disk Technique Rank: C Type: Supplementary Description: Turning the moisture in the are in disks of ice, the user can use them as projectiles that are more difficult to dodge due to their transparency. They may also act as mirrors, enabling one to easily spy on others, or creating durable shields to momentarily protect one from attacks, or as stepping stones to appear to be ‘walking on thin air’ and the like.
Note that the only C Rank Hyouton techniques Gaeul knows at the moment are the last two. The first three are still at a D rank level.

- Bunshin no Jutsu | Clone Technique
- Explosion Tag: Activate
- Nawanuke no Jutsu | Escaping Skill
- Kawarimi no Jutsu Change of Body Stance Technique
- Kinobori no Waza | Act of Tree Climbing Skill
- Kai | Release
- Ayatsuito no Jutsu | String Reeling Technique
- Kirigakure no Jutsu | Hidden Mist Technique
- Goukan | Five Senses
- “Jutsu Details”:
Name: Ayatsuito no Jutsu – String Reeling Technique Rank: D Type: Supplementary Description: A technique utilizing wire, this string can be used in rappelling or as a method to tie down and restrict the movement of an opponent. (5 meters)
Name: Kirigakure no Jutsu | Hidden Mist Technique Rank: D Type: Supplementary Description: The ninja causes the area surrounding their target to be covered in fog. The low visibility allows the ninja to silently and secretly assassinate their target. Gaeul can cover roughly a 10 foot in diameter circle.
Name: Goukan | Five Senses Rank: D Type: Supplementary Description: This technique does not involve hand seals and allows for the ninja to improve their senses by twice that of normal humans. As such, for a limited time period (five posts, the first post is actually prep), the user has better eyesight, hearing, sense of smell, taste, and touch. There is a two post cool down before the technique can be utilized again.
Taijutsu - Konoha Reppuu | Leaf Violent Wind
- Dainamikku Entorii | Dynamic Entry
- “Jutsu Details”:
Name: Konoha Reppuu | Leaf Violent Wind Rank: D Type: Offensive Description: Using one’s quickness and agility, one will move low to the ground and apply a spinning kick to sweep their opponent off of their feet.
Name: Dainamikku Entorii | Dynamic Entry Rank: D Type: Offensive Description: Throwing a kunai (or similar projectile) to distract the target's attention, one will then use their speed and agility to quickly approach and attack their opponent from their blind side.
I had this done awhile back and I figured since I can sneak on today, I might as well go ahead and put them up and try to get them approved before I go AFK again so that when I do get ungrounded I can just jump straight to RPing instead of still having to put additional shiz up before I could start RPing. >.>' |
