Hana blinked a bit as the Hokage began to explain that Ayame wouldn't want them being around him. Why was that? Didn't she trust the Hokage? Hana thought for a moment. She really didn't trust him either though she wanted to become powerful. As Hokage he couldn't be totally bad right?
As Shihouin squatted down Hana was forced to look into his eyes. They were dark yet they seemed sincere. Though his eyes had so many depths. She'd never seen eyes like his before. She almost felt lost in coldness for a moment before she was brought back to reality with his words and pat.
She hadn't wanted to fail Shi. She knew he was a strict mentor. She was sure she was lucky to be getting away with this so easily. Unless he had another plan for her. She wasn't going to fail him again. That was for sure. She didn't like disappointing her mentors.
What did he mean when he said he would push her beyond everything she was? Did he mean he was going to teach her the hard way and push her past all of her bloodclan limits and her own limits? Or did he mean something else? She didn't care. As long as she got stronger she would do almost anything that he desired.
She at least learned something from this fight. She wasn't going to let people get in the way of things. Mitsu would be her only exception. She would need to put everything behind her. Her new friends would become people that would only benefit her. If she had to fight them like she did Mitsu, she wouldn't hold back and would break those bonds of friendship if she had to. She didn't want to be weak anymore. She wanted to get strong no matter what. Her goal? Now it was to surpass all the strong Jonin in Konoha. Shi's earlier praise had made her think. She would do her best to surpass her idol Ayame. She didn't need to be like her. No, she could be better!
She mentally perked up as she heard him bring up a mission. A C rank mission? She could do that. She would go by herself if need be. She took the doctors needle and placed it in a pouch on her right hip. She wasn't sure what he needed Hyuuga blood for. But she didn't care as long as she made him proud. "I'll do my best and more," she told him with a steady, determined gaze.
He then disappeared with what seemed to be a substitution jutsu. Yeah, this guy was definitely going to make her the best she could be. She grinned and quickly rushed off to go look for a medic ninja. She did have a friend from way back in her academy days... Yes, she would go to him first.
