~ The start of all ~
The story begins in Kirigakure. A young girl under the name Izumi is the lead person. She was born into the clan of the Kaguya's, so a natural born ninja with a deadly potential. Her mother Sayuka had married Katsu Kaguya, but she had not known just what she had been marrying into. Now it's a known fact that the Kaguya clan was getting a bit smaller, and rumors had it that the clan was indeed extinct. The risk of that rumor actually becoming true made the clan members feel somewhat desperate to keep spreading the blood while they seemingly calmed a bit down. Their abilities were sought out from most places, they were a very -very- good material for assassins or bodyguards. Of course that payed well, but it was not without it's risks. No matter how strong your bones, your body, is then you just aren't immortal. Taking on risky jobs because of the clan's strengths lead the clan to become smaller at each death. Each member which possessed the actual ability and could use it to the fullest was made swear an oath against the natural thirst for violence which seemed to be flowing in their veins. Now the person to first take notice of, would be Katsu Kaguya. At the age of 26 Katsu had met Sayuka Yasuto while he had been traveling. You could say it had been love at first sight, or at least for her.
Katsu was a very handsome man with strong features, eyes as blue as the sky and hair which had a natural white color to it. Sayuka was a beauty at the tender age of 19 and she had a very romantic thinking. Her hair having the same green color to it as the green grass, her eyes bordering between being silvery or slightly rusty colored. She was not of a ninja family, but rather they were all people who were a bit down to the earth and very peace loving. Katsu seemed to have touched a string of her heart and romantic nature, as he was very gentlemanly and also seemed to be very thoughtful of her. She did not approve of methods that resorted to violence, and wanted to believe that everybody were good deep down inside. She was very close to her family, often needing to get guidance from her father if she felt uncertain about things. He had approved of her engagement as he had found Katsu to be an honest man who agreed to their peaceful ways of living. Little did he know though that his daughter was being tricked into a marriage to keep the blood of a naturally violent and powerful clan alive.
The courtship didn't last too long until Katsu had proposed, but still under a false family name. She naturally accepted as he was a strong man and had a great deal of money, from jobs she had no idea of of course, and her family seemed to love him. After being married for a year and a half, the seemingly happy couple had a child. The baby girl's hair had the same green color as her mother's, but her eyes were extra ordinary, having an amber color to them which often seemed to be as yellow as the rays of the sun itself. Katsu often said that his daughter reminded him of a small kitten with those yellow eyes who always had a glint of playfulness in them. Now Izumi was a very calm child, hardly ever crying but rather coo'ed and smiled at anyone who gave her attention. Sayuka thought she couldn't have been happier. Katsu was a good husband and he never asked things of her which she didn't feel like she could go along with. But however, most good things have to come to an end.
It had been a rather usual day at the household. Izumi's 4th birthday had just passed a week before the accident. Sayuka was pregnant of her second child, and was home alone with her daughter. While little Izumi busied herself over drawing a picture of her family, Sayuka did the laundry while humming a soft tune. A sudden shriek from her young daughter sent the pregnant woman dashing through the house into the room where she had left Izumi. Probably 100 kind of different thoughts about any sort of accidents her daughter could have had ran through her mind as she finally burst into the room. On the middle of the floor stood the petite little girl, her hand raised in the air while her wide eyes had a look of shock and horror mixed with admiration to them as they were fixated on her hand. Slowly, Sayuka moved her gaze to the outstretched hand. Her eyes slowly blinked. Somehow she felt like it was getting a bit more difficult to breathe, her vision blurred for but a second before she could snap out of it. Out of her daughters palm stood a snow white bone. It didn't seem there was any wound or anything which indicated that Izumi had broken her hand. Upon seeing her mother, she offered a smile, and then the bone was drawn back into her palm. There was nothing to indicate this had just occured. Sayuka took her daughter's hand in her shaky ones and examined the palm carefully. But no wound was seen.
Later that evening when Katsu came home, he found his wife sitting at the kitchen table with a frozen look of shock on her beautiful features. She didn't utter a single word, didn't manage to even glance in his direction before he asked what was wrong. In a few short words, she explained what had happened. To her surprise, her husband didn't seem the least surprised. He wasn't shocked. As a matter of fact, a small smile entered his face like he felt proud of what had happened. The blood in her veins grew icy cold as she finally dared to ask him why he was happy. An unfamiliar look grew on his handsome face, as he answered her with simple words.
"The child has inherited my blood. You should feel proud of yourself for being such a good breeder." And with that, he stepped out of the kitchen and went to sleep. Leaving his pregnant wife stiff with horror and fear at his words.
The day after she got to hear the truth. Katsu wasn't entirely made out of stone, and he did care for this small family he had achieved. But not more than having been able to treat his young wife in such a way. Lied to her and betrayed her heart. After having heard everything, Sayuka locked herself inside of her room for 2 days without speaking nor eating. Izumi felt scared but her father told her that Sayuka had just come down with a flu and would be alright soon enough. He now began to show his daughter more attention, and asked her to perform small tasks for him to see how advanced she was with the bloodline limit. It seemed she truly did have a great deal of skills despite her young age, and it made Katsu's heart swell with pride. Sayuka returned to the life of the housewife after having taken these 2 days to herself. But she changed drastically. It seemed like all life had left her. She tried to smile at her daughter but failed, she could barely stay in the same room as Katsu without bursting into tears. And the inevetible happened. She miscarried her child. After recovering most of her health, she left the house and never came back. Katsu didn't follow her after, but he heard that she had returned to her family. None of them contacted Katsu or his daughter, but he felt fine with that. He was busy training his little genius and felt quite content with that.
Izumi reached the age of 6. She was still a very easy child to be around, always smiling and ready to do anything her father asked her to do in the training. She did though seem to have changed a bit after her mother had left. Katsu had told her that things like that happened, her mother had gotten sick after loosing Izumi's sibling and she had needed some time to recover. Izumi tried to understand that, but she still missed her mother terribly. Not that there was much time for her to really think about anything else than her training. Katsu made sure to take everything in steps. She had to strengthen her body, get good stamina and become used to use her mind to solve many puzzled he put for her. It wasn't enough to just sharpen the ability of her blood.
As the day of her 7th birthday came closer, Katsu started to wonder about things. He felt like he could perhaps make his daughter stronger if he would be able to make her mix up more things in her skills than just the usual Taijutsu. After taking a few weeks for himself to think, he came up with a plan which he presented to his daughter. She was to go to another village and train there under the guidance of strong ninja. She was supposed to become skilled enough to achieve a Jounin rank, and then she was supposed to return here again and he would finish teaching her about her clan's secret techniques. It struck Izumi to hear this, the thought of having to go somewhere alone making her feel quite frightened. But it had been beaten into her head throughout the years to never say no to her father, and therefore she agreed with her heart filled with sorrow. And so, she went to Konoha. Katsu had decided that the Leaf Village would be the best choice, as it was seemingly the most peaceful one along with probably being one of few that would actually accept Izumi with open arms. He gave his daughter a sealed letter, told her to take care and then bid her farewell after giving a few instructions.
~ Konoha ~
After having traveled alone for the most, she finally arrived at her destination. Being only a child, she was let into the village without most problems where she then proceeded to meet with the Hokage. He was given the letter from her father, and while he read that she waited patiently in front of his desk. Inside of the letter was written of what clan she was, but there was no mentioning if there were more out there. This letter was filled with lies, Katsu having written he himself was on his dying bed and had sent his daughter away so that she would not be hunted down for her abilities. Izumi herself gave her top performance as the now orphan, squeezing up a few tears from her golden eyes as she spoke everything her father had told her to say. A meeting was called, the Hokage addressed the matter to his fellow ninja. It had been asked in the letter that the identity of her clan would be kept a secret for both her security and also the security of the village. And the Hokage respected that. He knew better than to be spreading a word of such a clan. After a few days had passed, there finally came an agreement to allow Izumi to stay in the village and become one of the Konoha ninjas. Of course there was always a few watchful eyes on her, as even if she was a child then in the ninja world no one could be too sure of anyone.
She enrolled into the academy where she was tested for her skills. It became apparent that she had been trained well, and was already ahead of the other children of her own age. She adapted well and was always friendly to anyone, as she had been ordered not to cause any problems. The teachers immediately liked the hardworking girl, and it seemed that most the kids took her well right away. She didn't cause any troubles and even if she was a top grade student, then it seemed that she was very skilled in not drawing in too much attention to herself.
Little did Izumi know though that she was being watched. A Jounin under the name of Kaito had gotten his eyes on her only a few days after she had arrived in the village. He worked at the office of the Hokage, and was a very skilled medical ninja. Showing a great promise in most aspects. He had gotten into Izumi's files, and he knew about her secrets. But nobody knew about his own terrible secrets. About his underground barrage where he made experiments on people who had "vanished". He was searching for a way to make a modified ninja, someone who would be indestructible. And now he finally had something to work with. A young girl of the Kaguya clan who seemed to be also showing great promises in the arts of ninjutsu. It was an opportunity he simply couldn't miss. And thus, he befriended her. He became her mentor, her friend and her father figure. He trained her every day and told her a great deal of things which would become handy for her. He made sure she studied well and did a good job in the academy, while he also trained her hard so that she would sooner become strong enough in order to deal with what he had in mind.
~ Becoming a Genin and Chuunin~
After she had graduated, Izumi was naturally supposed to go into a team with other Genin and take the normal route of a ninja. But Kaito had other plans. He pleaded with the Hokage, asking for permission to have Izumi under his command. She was becoming the perfect assistant and he was sure he would be able to make her an extra ordinary ninja if only he would be allowed to work further with her. The Hokage took some time to process that, talking with the other Jounin along with the teachers at the academy. Everybody agreed on that Izumi was a top student and that it seemed she had developed a strong relationship with Kaito. Perhaps it would be a bit unusual to go this route, but they thought that it couldn't really hurt to try it out. Naturally there were some that disagreed, saying she should take the same route as the other Genin. But in the end, the Hokage granted the permission but only if he would be allowed to keep a close eye on the whole progress. Kaito humbly agreed to that, but hid the devilish smile at his small victory.
For a year, Izumi worked directly under Kaito. He then proceeded to send her to take the Chuunin exam which she passed with flying colors. It had been thought impossible for her to make it since she didn't have any team, but young Izumi was about to show just what she was made of. It saddened her a bit to not have any real friends around, but she was also filled with the desire to achieve great powers and therefore didn't say anything against the constant training. In her dreams, she finally managed to become strong enough to return to her home and be able to meet her parents again.
~ Satsuriku is born ~
Somehow, as the time passed, it seemed like Kaito's training had started to become more rough.. more dangerous. Izumi was not a stupid girl and even if they were close, then she didn't see him through the eyes of someone that worshipped him. Rather, she was starting to hesitate a little around him and starting to wonder why her beloved friend was starting to look a bit scary at times. But the years passed, and she got stronger. She was recommended to the rank of a Jounin, and would have probably gained that rank if Kaito hadn't started to become rather .. impatient. He wanted to see more results. Surely the girl was strong and even now, at the tender age of 15, she had surpassed many who were older than her. She was quick and strong, but also intelligent and kind. People were always quick to warm up to her smiles, everyone but one. Kaito.
The day when everything seemed to fall, crumble down, for Izumi was the fateful day when Kaito took her down to his lab. It was a week after her 15th birthday, and she had earlier mentioned to Kaito that she wanted to apply for becoming an ANBU. That would mean that Kaito would have lost her, and that was something he would not want. Not the least bit. His lab was a place only he and Izumi knew about, and she had only once before been down there. It was creepy in her eyes, and as earlier when she had been down there, then she felt a cold chill run down her spine. Politely she had asked what they were doing down there, but instead of answering her question, Kaito had told her that she was his star. She was what he had always hoped for, and that she should be thankful for what was about to happen. Confused, the young girl had started backing away while asking what he meant, only to be knocked out as he sprayed her in the face with gas.
After an hour she had woken up, only to realize that she was strapped down on a table. The only thing she was wearing was a white sheet which was draped over her lean body. Terrified, she had started screaming and fighting against the restraints, but to no prevail. Kaito returned at her side shortly after she had woken up, and now she could see his face under it's true nature. It was a terrible mask of someone who was human, and yet was .. mad. Mad enough probably to be a true monster. He held a few tools, and with a sweet smile told Izumi that she should just lay back and enjoy becoming the perfect warrior.
No one heard the high pitched screaming. No one heard the sobbing and pleading of the young girl as she was tortured for hours. Days. Weeks. Each day she pleaded to be let go, and each day the devil in human form told her that he was doing this under the order of the Hokage and that everybody knew but nobody cared about her as she was just an outsider. Of course he was lying, and Izumi should have been able to realize that. But endless torture can make anyone start believing anything they are told. On the surface, people were looking for her. And up there, Kaito acted the role of the innocent ninja who was desperately also searching for the girl he had taken to his home like his own daughter. And 6 months of that passed. 6 months of being locked up, strapped down, tortured and modified. Told lies. And suddenly, the screaming and pleading stopped. A new girl was laying strapped down there, but she didn't cry. She didn't have any hope for rescue. No, she had a smile stretching over her lips. A cruel, cold smile. Satsuriku had pushed Izumi aside, far into a dark corner in her mind.
And then, a few days later she was found. But it was too late then. Kaito was done with what he had planned. And as the ninjas burst into his lab, while dragging him behind in cuffs, they found a young girl standing in front of them. She was naked, all but her long and green hair shielding her yet-to-finish maturing body. She had burst out from her restraints. They all came to a halt, and one hesitantly called out her name. They had all been surprised beyond when they had found out that young Izumi was probably still alive, and when they got Kaito and started questioning him the truth slowly got dragged out. But this couldn't have been Izumi. This girl who stood there had her face half way hidden beneath her bangs, and a cruel smile stretched across her lips. She appeared half starved to death, and her arms and legs were covered in wounds which some were still bleeding a bit. And when she raised her face upwards, her bangs falling from her face and forehead, the Konoha ninjas were greeted by a scar upon her forehead which stretched between her Kaguya markings. And that was the last thing they saw of her. As quickly as they had entered and seen her, then as quickly she was gone. Kaito was left with a smile of fulfillment on his face. He had succeeded.
For a long time teams from Konoha were sent out in search for the girl. Not only because she possessed secrets which could be dangerous to Konoha, but also because people were filled with grief over her fate. Kaito had confessed to most things, but still refused to say what he had changed about her. And as he was in the jail, awaiting one more questioning, he committed suicide.
~ Back home ~
Satsuriku/Izumi wasn't sure where she was going. For a few days she just ran without much rest. She was used to pain, used to hunger. And then here and there, people began disappearing. She got herself some clothes and food, and then she finally realized where she had been running. She was on her way home. Home to her father. He had promised to help her with getting stronger right? He had said he would wait there, right? And so, she kept moving. It took a while for her, as she couldn't remember well the right tracks to where she was going. But on her 16th birthday, dirty and skinny. Ragged and looking like her own soul was burning, she stood outside her old home. Katsu didn't seem very surprised at seeing his daughter back home. But what did surprise him was that glow in her eyes. Even if she looked like a starved street dog, then her eyes held such powerful glow that it was unbelievable. Like nothing could break her new spirit. He only had one question for her, as they stood face to face. Both looked coldly at each other. "Are you ready, daughter?" And he got his answer to that, as she simply smiled and nodded.
For 4 years she stayed there with her father. For 4 years she trained non stop, as she was taught everything about her clan. Katsu taught her the forbidden techniques and he helped her to control them. And finally, Satsuriku was ready. She had not once asked about her mother this whole time. And the only words exchanged between the father and daughter were the words while training and sparring. And now, she had succeeded in becoming stronger than him. And so, she killed him. Without blinking an eye. And with that, she left Kirigakure and did not return there. Her childhood home she had burnt, and her father's corpse with it. Now her journey was to Amegakure, the place for outcasts like herself. The place where she could settle down and think about what to do next. The only thing she had for a goal in her life now, was revenge. Not exactly just against Kaito, Satsuriku had to admit that he had been the one to help her become stronger. But it was the entire village that was going to suffer. Konoha... cursed Konoha..it would burn even if it would be Satsuriku's last thing on this God-forsaken earth.
~ Current date ~
Today Satsuriku has moved, traveled a bit from Amegakure. She's starting to feel restless as she needs something to do. She has been training in silence and secret until her 23rd birthday, but now she has to find something more ... efficient to do. She has not become friends with anyone, has nothing to slow her down. Is free as the bird, and has revenge in mind.
