Objective
Primary:Blow up a abandoned building.
Secondary: Do so without needing to use the explosives provided
Description:The village is full of derelict and abandoned buildings left to rot by owners who have moved into plush modern apartments. Many of these have become infested with rats and degenerated into local eyesores. Your team have been given chakra based explosives and told to blow up a particularly old and unstable house on the western edge of the village. Though you were provided explosives the quartermaster stressed they were running low and if you could find a way of doing it without using them he would see you got a bonus

Hana was staring at the fireworks. She was sitting in the cool green grass late at night. She stars were out but they didn't even begin to comapare to the bright rainsbow colors of the sparkly fireworks. Everything was amazing and calm until the noises began. The fireworks began to boom and make loud noises. Dogs barked, children screamed, and five year old Hana covered her ears as her heart beat faster and her breathing increased. She screamed and woke up.

She stood up in her bed breathing hard. Her hand was clutching her chest and sweat coated the sheets and her pillow case. Okay, so she had an unusual fear of loud explosions and fireworks. The first time she had ever seen fireworks was when she was when she was by herself. So it built up that fear. Even after she realized what they were years later she hated the loud noises of both fireworks and explosions.

She yawned and patted Kitsu as the little fox came wandering up to her to see what the matter was. It was just a dream. Besides, she didn't have anything to worry about. July was far off. The only worries she had about explosions was in a fight. But she would already be fearing for her life so it wouldn't make much of a difference in a life or death situation.

Hana looked out the window and blinked. A messenger pigeon was cooing on her windowsill outside. She blinked. The genin opened the window and took the small rolled up piece of paper out of it's mouth. She read it and then rubbed the sleepiness out of her eyes. Okay, so she had a mission. Well that was good. She needed another. Well actually she needed as many as she could get.

She got dressed, did her hair, and finished up with getting her ninja gear on. She then patted Kitsu, made sure he had food and water and then headed out the door after locking it. She walked down the street towards the administration building with a skip in her step. She whistled a friendly tune.

It was a nice spring day. The cherry blossoms were blooming and a few fell onto her head and into her hair. She smiled and took a moment to pull each blossom out that was tangled. Then she continued on her way.

She walked into the building and headed to the Hokage office. She entered and watched as the Hokage watched her every move. She also caught the eyes of her apparent teammates for this mission. She smiled at them and listened for the briefing of the mission.

He explained the details. Hana felt her heart speed up. Just what she needed... not. She couldn't be around explosives. She hated the loud noise. She really didn't want to show her fear in front of her teammates either. But then again, if she backed out of the mission right now then everyone would know something was up. Most genin would be ecstatic to be able to blow up a building for a D rank mission.

She sighed and turned to her teammates. Ready to begin this mission. However troublesome it was. She was glad to see the familiar faces though. Once he was done explaining and dismissed them she headed out of the room.

Missions missions missions...that was all Mitsu seemed to try to do when he was a genin. Well, he TRIED at least. He hated doing them alone. Sure, he had to split the profit, but it always went faster with another person. The problem was, he could never find a person to go on missions with. His friends kept disappearing. So, Mitsu woke up and saw the letting in front of his door, dropped in through his mail slot. He had a mission, but it didn't say who it was with, but one look at the rank of the mission and it's description gave him all he needed. The village was tight on jounin, that was a fact. So instead of assigning a ninja team of three genin and a jounin sensei, they just tagged Mitsu along since he was a chuunin to babysit the kids while the jounin were able to perform their duties uninterrupted. Mitsu sighed at the thought of having to watch over little straight-out-of-the-academy brats that were probably just excited about blowing the shit out of a building without negative repercussions. In fact, they would get rewarded for it.

Mitsu figured he had done virtually no missions since he was chuunin, and he could use a break from his physical training. Besides, it couldn't be THAT bad, could it? So he got the rest of his things ready and headed off to the office. Once there he waited for the rest of them to show up. Mitsu only noticed Hana as a familiar face, the others he could easily tell were genin. Mitsu noticed a slight change in expression in Hana's face when the Hokage started to explain a mission. Concern perhaps? Did she have some sort of fear? Mitsu didn't know, but this did seem like the last thing he wanted to do. Then again, he might be able to chat with Hana afterwards and even during. He had a feeling that she took a liking to him. When the hokage finished he bowed and held the door for the gennin, letting Hana go out first. Mitsu wanted that bonus though, so he decided he would hold the explosives to make sure nothing bad happened. But that wouldn't be until they get there. Once they all left the main doors of the office, Mitsu stopped and cleared his throat to get the gennin's attention. "Alright guys, my name is Mitsuhide Aketchi, but call me Mitsu. Now that I've introduced myself, I would like you to do the same. I already have met you Hana, so if you've met them before, go ahead and introduce yourself, but if they know you, there will be no need unless you feel like it. Oh yes, one thing, I, like Hana here, have a special bloodline trait that allows me to manipulate the growth and formation of the bones in my body." Mitsu forced out a bone knife, like he always did when he was showing his ability off, and he knew it would mesmerize the kids. "I'm getting that out of the way so I don't have to answer questions while we are actually doing the mission. If you have any questions about it, ask them while we are on the way there or after the mission."

Yori stood silently in the office of Lord Hokage. He hadn't dwelled on anything, however questions about his clan had arose and he wanted to venture and dwell on their history moreso than be on this mission. He longed for this knowledge, and it remained in the young Uchiha's mind, leaving him much distracted but completely aware of the mission. He wasn't above studying those he was around, but he felt he already knew Hana Kuroda, however the other two were complete strangers to him.

However Yori couldn't hide himself. The large, red and white fan on the back of his black, high collar shirt that hide anything below his nose. He refused to speak unless spoken to, as Yori was simply an observer in ths situation. He felt nothing more than, friendship for these people, at the most kinship with them, as the Will of Fire was something he both knew, hated and believed. It was so strange how he liked and believed in it simply because of his childhood.

After both enduring and staying awake after Mitsu's boring explanation, Yori finally opened his mouth. "Your concieted, a shinobi, should already have a basic understanding of what our mission is for.", he said defiantly. "Your a Chunin, you should be knowledgable enough to know that, the mission isn't engaging any target.", he said, dull black eyes staring his abilities down to simply a flick of a baby's wrist. "If you expect me to be impressed, I'm not, if anything I'd rather leave and go to sleep.", Yori said. "I also don't care whether I know your name and vice versa.", he said.

Sasori was sitting in a chair by his little desk in his apartment. He was studying the file on his clan. Staring at a photo of his father, who went M.I.A on a mission when he heard a knock on his door. Quickly Sasori put all the stuff on his clan back into the folder. "Who is it and what do you want?" he said as he opened the door. To no surprise there was no one there but there was a note attached to his door.

On the note it said that he had a mission and was requested for the briefing at the Hokage's office. "Great a mission wonder what it is and who will be going along with it." he thought as he closed his door. Already dressed in his usual attire Sasori just attached his gourd to his back. After putting on his shoes he walked out of his place. He slowly walked down to the main street he really was in no hurry.

Now in the main street Sasori walked a little faster. He still was wondering who was going on the mission. Twenty minuets later he walked into the Hokage's office. The first person he noticed was Hana the other two he did not even recognized. He crossed his arms and leaned agents the door as the Hokage went over the briefing of the mission. "Great this is getting boring why do we have to go through all this boring crap before a mission." he thought as he looked at the wall opposite to were he stood.

Then Sasori noticed that the others began to walk out of the office. Sasori walked behind the others he really was not in a mood to talk he just wanted to get the mission done. He heard the Chuunin talk and he rolled his eyes "Great what is up with all these introductions cant every one just know I am a Sabure just by my Sand Guard." he thought but out load he said "My name is Sasori Sabure of the Sabure clan. I have already met Hana for me and her are on the same team and we have the same Sensai. as for you two I can care less about your names I am just here to get the mission done so lets get to it." Sasori kept fallowing the others waiting to see how the all would get the mission done.

Hana smiled at Mitsu as he began to speak. He was so polite and smart. She held in a girlish giggle. Now wasn’t the time to go crazy over the guy. She had a mission and she couldn’t fail it. She wasn’t going to let her fear get the best of her. ESPECIALLY in front of Mitsu.

Hana sweatdropped as Yori spoke. Okay, why didn’t he get along with other males well? She sighed. She could see his point but decided to put her own two cents in. “This is Yori Uchiha. I know all of you and you all know me. As for what you said Yori, our second objective requires that we find some way OTHER than using the explosives they provide us. Which means that knowing each other’s abilities would come in handy in this situation. Mitsu was also just taking the natural leadership role since he is higher in rank is all.”

Hana sighed yet again at Sasori’s own behavior. What was with boys anyway? This was why she preferred older men. They were now walking across town towards the site where they would be demolishing the building. “Well, I have water techniques which probably won’t be any help. I doubt our bones will either Mitsu. But I do have exploding tags to work with. If that will help any. As for Yori, it’s quite obvious what he can do. Since the Uchiha clan is so popular. Not to mention Yori is very skilled and intelligent. As for Sasori, he uses sand. I don’t know how that could help us with the demolition of the building but it’s probably way more useful than my water techniques.” She scratched the back of her head.

She was the most useless one there now. Which she did not like at all. She would have to use her head in this situation. They were now nearing the site. The quartermaster was a big man. His muscles were huge though he was also a bit portly. Hana waved her hand at him and he began to speak. “Ah, this young man must be the leader right?” he asked looking at Mitsu. Hana nodded. “Well then, it’s good to have you kids here. I need to get back to my work but we’re almost out of our chakra based explosives. Like I told Hokage-sama, we would like it if you all came up with some other way to bring this dump to the ground. But if you absolutely can’t it’s understandable. I’ll leave the explosives here in your hands,” he said to Mitsu.

“Now I’ll be off for now. Be careful kiddo’s and try not to blow any body parts off,” he said chuckling. Hana’s stomach was twisting in knots now. How would they do this? And how could she herself get through this? Her legs shook slightly though she pressed her hands to her cheeks and smushed them together slightly painfully. She needed her head in the game. She couldn’t just sit there and be afraid of the explosives. She needed to get past her fear.

Her eyes changed to those of one determined. She stopped shaking and turned to the others. “Okay, anyone have any ideas as to how to take this bad boy down? All I have are explosive tags. They might be able to destroy the outside of the house. But it would still be standing most likely. They would do damage but not enough.” She had never really used her explosive tags before. She had been too afraid to use them in battle. But now she was going to get over her fear. No, she was already over it now. She was ready. She was going to blow this building up and complete her mission. Ninja’s had no fear. She couldn’t show hers. She put her three middle fingers to her lips in thought as she wondered how to destroy it.

The two boys seemed...emo-ish to Mitsu. They both didn't give two shits about who they worked with as long as the mission got done. Mitsu knew he couldn't change them, but if they were gonna complete this mission, they best try damn hard to not act that way. Mitsu had studied the uchiha clan and assumed that he possessed the fire element. Hana had water, and Sasori, well Mitsu didn't know his. Fire and water would both be useful in taking down this building. Mitsu didn't know what the building would look like, but he was getting some possible ideas. But first, Mitsu needed to teach this Yori kid about respect.

"Well it seems two of you need some motivation, and one of those two needs a lesson. Yori, go ahead and not like me, but I am a chuunin, which means I'm higher rank, and that I deserve respect. I'm not telling you to bow or anything, but you better listen to what I say and I swear if you roll your eyes I will not hesitate to hit you. I know Hana will listen because I just do. But you two had better listen up now. I am leading this mission, and I want to get this done as much as you do, just to get it over with. But if you keep up those bitchy attitudes, Hana and I will handle the mission ourselves. Yes, I'm being a bit of an asshole right now, but you pressed my asshole button with that attitude. Now straighten it up, and that 'button' won't be pressed again, got it? Good. Now the first thing about buildings is that the foundation is the base of it all. Weaken it, and you weaken the entire building greatly. Now this building is supposed to be weak as it is, so doing that would almost eliminate the need for the tags, which we will not be using. Once I get a good look at this building, I will take into account as to how everyone's abilities can help, and I'm almost certain the will be useful. Go ahead and talk back to what I have to say, I don't really give two shits about either of you two either to be honest, but it is my job to help you and your generation. Now lets get moving."

Mitsu said what he had to say, and he meant all of it. If he saw that kid roll his eyes or any of the sort, he would get a thwack to the skull. Mitsu made sure to watch him as they all started moving again. As they approached the building, the quartermaster approached. Mitsu put on a smile and he waved shortly after Hana did. The man gave Mitsu the tags and Mitsu put them in his pouch. "Thank you sir. And don't worry, we plan to not use the tags and by the looks of this building, it shouldn't be too hard." Mitsu looked at the building and walked around it, looking for any weaknesses. The entire building was old, and it DID need torn down, it would cost more to fix it than it would to tear it down, so Mitsu could understand why they chose this method. After a quick scan of the outside, Mitsu looked inward. He noticed there were a few support beams and a broken stairway. Mitsu jumped up to the second level, and noticed a very large beam going from one end of the ceiling to the other, along with the support beams continuing up. Mitsu got a good idea as to what they could do. so he hopped back down and walked outside.

"Alright, I have a plan. Like I said, the foundation is a key piece to any building. Sasori, you have sand. I want you to go around the edge of the house, and turn the dirt deposites into sand, including under the house if thats possible. Just try to cover as much of the foundation as possible. Yori, If you have fire, I want you to use it to burn the corner pieces of the outside of the house. Hana, use any water justu to put out the fires to keep them from spreading. We don't want to burn through them just yet, go about halfway for now. Once that is done Hana, head inside. I have something we can do together. Does anyone have a problem with my plan so far? No? Good. Let's get this over with. Remember, we are weakening the building first, then we can take it down with one blow. Easy as that. Now let's move!"

Mitsu intentionally answered his own question faster than they could get a word in to show that he knew what he was doing and that they should listen. Mitsu headed inside and decided he would take his time with what he was about to do. So Mitsu hopped up to the second level again, and protruded a bone from his arm that ran from his elbow to his knuckles. The outside area (the side that would come in contact if he back handed someone) was sharpened like a blade. So Mitsu swung his arm hard and hit the beam with a thud. This gashed the wood a bit, and so Mitsu would take another hack at it every so often. He knew his job was the most important, but he knew these guys would make this oh so much easier.

Blah Blah Blah Blah.


Blah, the Uchiha thought. The topic respect was something Yori didn't lack whatsoever. In fact he was treating Mitsu how Mitsu had gave Yori the impression. Even with the higher rank status Yori could see that even a chunin could be less than capable of leading a squad. Yori was well aware of what it took to accomplish a mission as a team. But even the leader cannot simply bark orders around and wave his power. Yori would happily leave now, and as much as he wanted to, he wasn't such an idiot.

Rolling his eyes and putting on a smirk, Yori was well aware that he was both testing the skills of this 'Chunin'. Yori was also no stranger to physical abuse, as he endured plenty in his childhood. "I hardly consider you leader material, we dont' all share the same ideals and we each pursure our own dreams.", he stated. Idealing Yori would've been quiet but there's always a time and place, and Yori just couldn't sit back today. "Great leaders know that teamwork stems from trust and equality in the group.", he said. "You are no better that I, Hana or Sasori, you hardly have a sense of fair judgement in your mind, and put the mission above building trust and teamwork skills.", Yori stated. "Genin do missions to learn teamwork, an important skill that is the very foundation of a village!", Yori said.

He fell silent, expecting the foolish 'leader' to hit Yori. He took a deeep breath, well aware that he was much as right as Mitsu, he never took personal feelings, or past experiences into play. In fact Yori knew he was right, because to the fact, genin learned teamwork through missons together.

Sasori looked at Mitsu and spoke "Respect is earned not given." That was all he said for now they were at the site. Sasori took a look around the place as the quartermaster spoke. "How easy it would to take all the dirt and turn it to sand and crush all these workers." he thought to him self. Just then Mitsu spoke and said what his plan was. "So our chuunin leader has this great plan I don't like it but what the hell.' he thought as he went into position.

Sasori waved his hands and the dirt around the house rose up. "As if I cant handle this who doe's this guy think he is, big deal he is a Chuunin don't matter to me what or who he is." he thought as he made the dirt into sand then began to wrap it around the foundation of the Building. Sasori pushed out with his right hand squeezing the sand around the foundation of the building.

From with in the building Sasori heard a bang. "What is going on in there sounds like some kind of beating." Sasori really did not care what the noise was as long as it did not cause him any harm. Still applying pressure to the sand covering the foundation, Sasori felt a sudden urge to do some thing. "Cover the building with sand and crush it that outta be fun." he thought. Sasori shook his head to clear his mind "Stay focused." he said adding more pressure.

Sasori could hear a cracking noise coming from the foundation. He stretched out with both hands and added some more pressure. The cracking noise got louder and Sasori added a little more pressure. "I am good on my end how is every one else hanging in?" he called to the others. Still applying pressure he waited for the others to reply.

Hana wanted to just run away as Mitsu and Yori interracted. Why didn't the two guys she really liked have to not get along. At least Sasori wasn't causing any trouble though. She turned to Mitsu. "Mitsu, I know you want him to respect you but would you please not hit him? Please? I don't think it would do any good."

She then turned to Yori with a slight glare. How dare he act that way towards Mitsu. Just by age Yori should have watched his mouth a bit. She sighed though. She knew how Yori was. Knew how intelligent the boy was as well. He did have a point. She could see how in their eyes that Mitsu was just flaunting that he was leader. Though she also knew that wasn't the case.

He had just naturally taken the role and wanted to help them finish the mission as soon as possible. He didn't need to be treated that way either. "I say we take a vote. I don't see Yori with any plans at the moment so I say we go ahead with Mitsu's plan." It was already her and Mitsu. It was just up to Sasori to pick what he wanted to do.

He walked off to begin taking on the building and doing as Mitsu said. Hana smiled. At least they could get started now. She was sure she could already get over her fear of the explosions anyway. She got into position and waited for Yori to start if he did. If not she could always go ahead and use her tags to start a small fire and then let it develop. She listened to what Mitsu was doing. It sounded like he was hammering something almost. She wondered what he was doing but decided to wait for him.

The only reason Mitsu had not hit the brat was because Hana asked him not to. That kid needed an attitude adjustment, and oh, would Mitsu love to be the one to do it. But he just acted like he never said anything. Back in the house, Mitsu could feel slight vibrations from under the house and the cracking of wood from the foundation. Mitsu liked that sound. He smirked at the fact they they just might now need those tags like he planned. The thumping from his bone chopping the pillar stopped suddenly, and then he moved to the next one, hammering away until the other. He had hoped that Hana would be arriving soon, and just as he had thought that very thing to himself, Hana came in the house and called for him. "Mitsu, are you here?"

Mitsu hopped down from the second floor and spoke. "Oh good you are here. walk over to that pillar there with me. I've got something I need you for." They walked over to the pillar and Mitsu held up his arm. "Now, this is what I need you to do. I want you to copy this bone I've made, and make the bone sharp on this end. Then once you are done, I want you to swing your arm at the pillar, basically using your arm like an ax. But be sure to make the bone be able to absorb the shock. I know broken bones are never a problem, but they still hurt. I want you to go about half way through ok? I've got to get back to work upstairs. Once you are done with that, I want you to do the same with the other. Just ask if you need help." "Ok Mitsu! I'll get straight to work!"

Mitsu smiled and then went back to his work on the second floor. Mitsu stepped it up by hitting harder, and got his done in no-time. He then headed downstairs and helped Hana with her last one. He then heard Sasori call out. "We are all set here, and Yori has been does for a bit. If we are all set, then Hana and I will knock this down right now. Just remember to stand back when it starts falling." "You really think we can both knock this building down...as in just the two of us?" Mitsu smirked and winked back as Hana as he walked over to the broken staircase and took a large amount of the wood. "Oh, trust me, I know we can, now that they have helped. We wouldn't be able to without them. Yori, Sasori! When the roof starts to fall in, I want you two to hit the sides, hard. That should keep the destruction to a limited space by making the walls fall inward." Mitsu dropped off the wood as he was telling them what to do, and the then started taking off his weights, and when he put them on the ground, they made a small impression on the ground. Mitsu felt a sudden lightness flow over him at the loss of the weights. He felt like he could jump ten stories and run a marathon. Mitsu smiled because this really would test his true speed, which he really hadn't done yet.

"Hana, I put the wood on the ground near the entrance for one reason; to help you get out of here. When this building collapses, there may not be time to get out with your own physical ability. I want you to kawamiri with that pile and then run out. As for me, I know I am fast enough to make it. I've been training a certain way, and so I am nothing to worry about. But I won't start until you are sure you are. So are you?" There was a small pause before Hana's reply. "Yes, I'm ready." Mitsu nodded back. "Alright then I want you to break that pillar first, then the other, when I tell you to. Once that is done, I want you to kawamiri and get out, and don't worry about me, ok?" Mitsu knew she would be worried, but Mitsu was confident in his abilities. "Alright Mitsu, if you are sure.

They took their positions near the pillars and Mitsu knocked out the pillars on the second floor in one hit per pillar. He smirked at how fast and strong he was without the weights. The sound of the wood shattering and splintering was like a kind of music to his ears. He heard the wood around the house creak and crack and break as well, so now was the time to act fast. "Do it now Hana!" Mitsu shouted and so Hana did so, breaking one after a few hits and then breaking the other. "I'm done!" Mitsu then waited a moment for her to kawamiri before breaking the supports for the large beam in the ceiling, which soon fell down, crashing through the floor, bringing most of the second story with it. But as soon as Mitsu broke the last support, he used all his speed and rushed out the door. The building soon fell down completely, filling the air with the sound of snapping wood and its collision with the ground. Mitsu smiled at a job well done and Hana was all giddy. The quartermaster soon came up and smiled like he had before. "Ah, well done! I didn't hear any explosions, so does that mean you managed without them?" Mitsu nodded and handed back the tags. "No sir, we did it all on our own, but it wouldn't have been possible if even one of us weren't here." Mitsu decided to give credit to the kids. After all, he really wouldn't have been able to do it without them. Mitsu put his weights back on and moved around on them to re-adjust. The quartermaster then handed a piece of paper after he signed it. "Well there you are good sir, the paper that hereby states that you four completed the mission, and with an added bonus as well for not using any tags! Well done again and thanks a lot for helping out! We will be sure to put up another mission request if we need help again!" "Well, if I happen to run across it, I'll try to get these guys again and see if it works out. Mitsu turned around to the three kids. "I'll take care of getting this to the office, and I'll make sure an equal pay is given to each of you through delivery. I'll see you guys later." Mitsu then darted off to the hokage's office and make sure everything was taken care of. When Mitsu returned home, and sat back and he smiled at a job well done.
