Hana sighed as she headed back from the Hokage's office down to the streets. She had to clean up garbage now? What was she the garbage man? Didn't the village pay people to do this? Well she WAS getting paid but that was besides the point. Ninja's were supposed to go on missions like fighting and stuff. Why couldn't she have gone on a mission with her teammates?
Though she had a duty and she was getting paid after all. Might as well pick up trash and get it done quickly. She started from the north side of the village and would slowly work her way down. She had a huge black garbage bag and slung it over her shoulder. Each time she found a scrap of rubbish she would add it to her bag.
She would occasionally come across animal excretion or something like moldy food on the ground. She would use a nearby stick or something to pick it up with. It was a dirty job but she hoped with enough D-rank and C-rank missions that she would get closer to becoming chunin. This also gave her money. Money enough to pay for food, bills, and everything else. Even ninja equipment.
She didn't like this toil over her work but at least she was getting excercise. It was a bit easier than regular training every day and she was liking that she got to be outside in the fresh air. Konoha had such wonderful air. Since it was surrounded in trees and such. The plant life in Konoha gave it wonderful air to breath. Almost as if you were in the wilderness though you were in a village. So you have the benefits of both.
That was the reason why she loved Konoha. Though now seeing how dirty and littered the village was it made her a bit angry. Angrier than usual. Since it just made Konoha look like a dump. That wasn't how she saw her village. She took great pride in Konohagakure. It was her home. Though she wasnt born in the land of fire she still knew this was her home.
She grew angrier at the sight and soon began frantically cleaning the village of litter. She made her way down the streets. She didn't take a break and was drinking water from one of her canteens. She kept them on her hips tied to her clothes. That way she could use them on missions and such.
She was making good time. She was already halfway done with her work and it had only been thirty minutes. Though picking up litter and putting it in a bag wasnt' hard work either. She let the breath slip through her lips. She was growing calmer though her back was hurting slightly from bending over so much.
She licked her dry lips, it had been about forty minutes. She was growing tired though it was harder to find trash now. She smiled and began checking around Konoha. Double checking places and going over where she had before. She had worked hard and long. Her hour was almost up but she soon threw away all her garbage and headed back to the kage mansion to let the hokage know she had finished her mission within the hour.
