Hana was sitting next to the river. Her hand lazily trailed in the deep water. It was about seven feet. The snow from the winter had came down the run off and filled all the lakes and rivers to three times their normal capacity. The river was cold but on such a hot day it felt nice.

She put her bare feet into the water. She loved the feel of the water between her hot toes. She'd decided to go barefoot today. The young girl pushed her hair back and wondered why it was so quiet. Today was more quiet than usual. It was like the birds were too silent as well. In fact she hadn't seen or heard a bird in a while...

She stood up quickly and looked around. Something didn't feel right. Birds ALWAYS sang in konoha. Unless they felt that their lives were threatened. There was an enemy nearby. Hana scanned all the shadows and woods. Her bare feet would be able to feel if someone came stomping towards her for a close ranged attack. Hana felt she would be able to dodge easily as well if he or she were to throw weapons at her for a long ranged attack.

The girl searched and let a bone slide out of her left arm. Just for good measure if someone still came to attack her from close range. Her ears were perked as she listened. The only noise was the river. She prepared for the attack she felt was coming. She hoped she wasn't just sitting there for no reason. She would feel stupid. But any ninja that had a bad feeling should act on it. Never brushing it off.

Leon stretched, opening his eyes and rubbing them while he searched for his sunglasses. It was way too bright out for a normal person to even consider looking around outside without some form of eye protection. Cracking his fingers and rotating his shoulders so they popped and reset in his joints. It wasn’t like it would have been that big a deal if they didn’t reset, his joints popped out of place every time he fought multiple times, so it would have been like a bug bite. Just a minor uncomfortable feeling.

Clearing his throat, Leon realized it was really dry, and as he checked his water pouch, he swore as he realized it was empty. Thinking back, he remembered drinking the rest of it for the same exact reason he wanted it now last night. Sighing, Leon flung his arm forward and grabbed a tree farther away from him and began swinging towards the sounds of the river.

As he reached the river, Leon noticed all the birds flying away from him, and shrugged. It wasn’t that big of a deal, his aura gave off a very threatening feeling. Sadly though, he failed to remember the fact that this was in Konoha, and his general aura would shut creature in a nearby vicinity up, causing any normal shinobi to realize something was wrong.

Yawning as he began filling up his water pouch, Leon looked down towards the end of the river and saw a young female shinobi. As the area went completely silent, she stood up warily and Leon watched in slight amusement as a bone came out of her skin and took the forum of a sword. Now that caught his interest. This must have been one of the Kaguya he had missed… or one of the children of the Kaguya he had killed. There were quite a few of them that had managed to escape, but not one had managed to stay alive long enough for Leon to find. It wasn’t for vengeance sake, he just wanted the bones. There was a story behind that as well, but at a later time.

Putting his arm into the ground quietly, Leon chuckled and sent it at the young shinobi. There wasn’t a mask on there, but it still would give her a good fright. Leon took a swig of water, wetting his mouth and sighed in relief before speeding up the process of using his arm as a mole. As soon as he did that, the ground began cracking and right underneath the girl, the ground burst open, Leons arm and threads flying out of the dirt attempting an uppercut. This would be interesting to watch, especially since she had no idea where he was at the moment. Grinning maniacally to himself, Leon moved, stretching his threads outwards to keep them going into the ground at that specific point while he moved closer to see how she reacted.

Just to be annoying, which Leon always was, the threads that were connecting his arm to his body via the hole in the ground he had created began splitting outwards, all of them burrowing into their own little spots on the ground, slowly looking like a giant oil piping as the threads spread outwards into the river and over to the other bank, slowly creating a screen of black down the river if she looked this way. Cracking his neck as he reached a tree much closer to the area where his fist had just exploded mere seconds ago, Leon used his free hand to hang himself upside down from a tree branch and kept lowering until the other branches hid him from sight mostly, but at the same time still allowed him to see what was happening.

He didn’t need to see, as a sensor, Leon was perfectly capable of fighting with both eyes removed if need be just due to being able to sense the opponents chakra and smell them. But sight was always helpful. The threads that were burrowed under the ground were also a form of sensor, being able to tell when the girl landed back on the ground. When that happened, all of the threads would burst forth from the ground, acting much like a mass of spears erupting at her. And just to get a little more entertainment from this, Leon focused some of the threads to his back, and pushed a mask off. Since he had just obtained this heart from a Fuuma lord, Leon still had no knowledge of the jutsu the fire aligned heart would present him with, but instead he handed it the pair of short swords on his back, and sent it off through the forest to the side where the threads had yet to reach. Should she try to run away from the spiked mass waiting beneath her, the girl would encounter that beast.

The young genin had been waiting and watching, seeing as she couldn't see her enemy she had been in preparation for him or her to attack. Half a second before the arm came through the earth, her feet could feel the rumble of it moving up underneath her. Once the earth shattered beneath her and the attack came at her, Hana tried to block with her sword. She'd had less than a second to react. If she blocked it her body would instantly want to move out of the way to make some distance. The attack wasn't anything that she had expected, luckily she'd been preparing for some kind of attack, she wasn’t sure what but she had a feeling that something was coming. The birds had warned her. She’d throw down a smoke bomb to cover her as she jumped into the water behind her once she blocked the attack. The enemy wouldn’t know she would be in the water though. Unless she gave herself away, which was all part of her plan. She would do hand seals under the water. She’d plan for three different sets.

She would make water clones under the water. The Hana’s would jump back into the fray. Her plan was for him to attack her. Her water clones, all ten of them, would be ruined once he attacked her, leaving her traps that she set in each one to go off. She'd set all of them while she was in the water. The springs would be set and once the clone was destroyed the kunai, shuriken, and senbon would fly in all directions in a ten meter radius. Her enemy wouldn't know which Hana was the real one either. At least... she hoped he wouldn't.

Since she had been in the water as they formed she had to use less chakra to form them. Meaning she had ten clones in total. Instead of her normal amount which was normally just five.

Hana herself while all this happened would be in the water. Using her underwater breathing technique. Two more clones would be swimming up and down the river. Each one would have a trap in them as well. But their job would be scouting. Hopefully he would be by the riverbed. If not... well she was doomed. Because there was no way she would be able to get back on land until she knew his location, so she could counter attack.
